The Sligo Build
Having met in Sligo town 15 years ago, Claire Carpenter and Ross Mannion quickly became inseparable. After a few years, the pair moved to Claire’s hometown of Coolaney, where they went on to have three children, Luke (14), Anna (11) and Zach (8). On February 10th, 2022, tragedy struck when Claire suffered a stroke and was taken to Beaumont Hospital for immediate treatment. Following several surgeries, Claire has been able to regain some of the movement on the left side of her body thanks to the help of the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Dublin where she has been since July.
Showcasing its commitment to Irish communities, the Chadwicks team was on hand to support presenter Baz Ashmawy and the DIY SOS crew at the Carpenter-Mannion family home as they worked to transform it to suit the family’s specific needs.
