Render Mix (2)

Welcome to Chadwicks, where we supply various building materials, including rendering mix. You can buy the render mix from us or the materials you can use in formulating the render mix. A render mix is almost similar to a mortar mix, only that their applications and formulation ratios vary considerably. However, their composition is the same. To make a building render mix, you should have cement, lime, sand, and water. And these should be mixed with an appropriate ratio depending on whether you will use the mixture for external or internal walls. A standard and commonly used mix ratio for rendering comprises 1 part of lime, 1 part of cement, and 6 parts of sand.

You can use any general-purpose cement. However, when it comes to sand, you should select a fine one with as minimum impurities as possible. All these are available in our Chadwicks stores, and you can always make orders to get your preferred sand grade, cement, and lime. Render mix is used on walls to make them smooth and to adjust their textures to the desired standard. These can be done using rendering tools such as a trowel, rendering tape, sponge float, and bucket.
