Insulated Plasterboards (7)
Insulated plasterboard is a type of plasterboard of different thicknesses used in both walls and ceilings to provide insulation. Some insulated plasterboard comes with other benefits, for example, moisture resistance. The use of thermally insulated boards increases energy efficiency while it minimizes over-reliance on heating and fuel.
Insulated plasterboard is mainly used to line external walls, normally brick walls which do not provide effective insulation. You can also use insulated plasterboards in the ceiling to prevent the heat from escaping through your roof or ceiling. On brick walls, wall insulation plasterboards are used since they provide a very thin lining that takes up very little space. Insulated plasterboard is also used in overboard ceilings just for the same reason.
Plasterboards are so simple and easy to fix. When doing plasterboard fixing, you can ensure firm stability by fixing the boards using hammer-fix screws, plugs, masonry nails and drywall screws. Dab and dot fixing is a perfect idea for walls, as it uses adhesives to stick the boards on the wall, which speeds up things. However, fixing it will only be needed for ceilings and walls, but to a lesser degree due to gravity effects.
