Short Description
Wood fibre thermal insulation board for walls and roofs
Product Information
Naturheld wood fibre natural insulation boards with T&G are used to insulate walls, both internally and externally, and roofs, both under and over the rafters. They can also be used in suspended timber floors and attic floors. They are designed for use in vapour-open or breathable constructions. They allow for the movement of moisture vapour through the structure, greatly reducing the risk of interstitial condensation, mould, wet rot or dry rot. This is especially crucial in older, solid-walled buildings, where moisture accumulation can be a major problem. They are also excellent for use in timber frame buildings due to their high thermal mass. Naturheld wood fibre boards can be plastered or rendered directly, as well as being finished with ventilated wall cladding or roof tiles.
Features And Benefits
- Vapour-open, capillary-active and hygroscopic to ensure a breathable solution
- Suitable for internal and external use
- Suitable for all wall types - solid walls including stone, brick or concrete, cavity walls, timber/metal frame, CLT, glulam
- Suitable for pitched or ventilated flat roofs - both over and under rafters
- Can be plastered or rendered directly with Baumit lime products
- Can be finished with ventilated wall cladding or roof covering
- Water-resistant surface, so can be left exposed for up to 4 weeks before covering
- Excellent thermal mass properties to reduce summertime overheating in timber frame and converted attics
- Excellent acoustic insulation properties due to its high density and fibrous structure
- Natural, sustainable insulation that is safe to handle, and has no toxins
- Carbon-negative so excellent for our environment - both in terms of the product itself as well as the reduced emissions due to better insulated buildings
