1) Camper Van Tent
We’d all love to upgrade to a camper van while on a camping trip or away at a weekend festival, but it can be hard to justify the expense sometimes. The next best thing to hiring a camper van is a tent that looks like a camper van. Sure it’s just a regular tent inside but you’ll have no trouble finding it amongst the sea of boring tents on your way to bed. Channel the 70s in this retro outfit.
2) The Tent-Mansion
This tent-mansion boasts the handy option of parking your car halfway in so you can access items from the boot easily or blare your music in for a party. There’s a maze of tunnels that offer a quick escape from family members, hungry bears or in the event you accidentally left the car exhaust running.
3) Bubble Tent
Unless you’re at a boozy festival, the whole point of camping is to get back to nature. So why zip yourself up at night away from the most amazing display of all, the starry night sky. This bubble tent is the next best thing to sleeping outside under the stars and you won’t have to worry about creepy crawlies. It’s a wee bit voyeuristic though so unless you’re camping somewhere remote, we don’t recommend sleeping nude.
4) Fancy Garden Tent
This glamorous tent known as the Lotus Belle tent is not really one you kart into the back of your car for a weekend camping by the lake. No, no, like having the ‘good sofa’ or ‘good china’ this one is best served parked at the end of your garden, all summer long. So on those rare balmy days you can lead your guests barefoot across the grass with their glasses of chilled wine while you comment on how nice it is ‘to really relax y’know?’
5) Tent Dress
For the person who likes their tent so much they want to wear it. The ‘Jacpak’ is a sleeping bag, tent and jacket all in one. Not really a good look and very unlucky if you happen to… get lucky.
6) Car Tent
For the person who likes their car so much they don’t want to leave it. Advantages are that it gets you off the ground, disadvantages are you need a car with a cargo tray like a ute.
7) Tree Tent
Part tree house, part tent with a little bit of hammock thrown in for good measure. Very Robin Hood-y. Top view too.
8) Solar Powered Tent
This is one for the gadget freaks and tent geeks among us. Using it’s special fabric, it harnesses the sun’s power so you can charge your phone, use wifi, enjoy underfloor heating and find your way back thanks to its glowing capeablilities. You didn’t really want to go camping in the first place did you?
9) i-gloo Box Tent
This is for those who appreciate fine design. It’s like a soft and comfy igloo and just as good for keeping in the heat.
10) It’s Not You It’s Me Tent
Not all tents are for outside. Sometimes you’re watching tv with your family or friends and you just want to be left alone. Just let this chair-tent swallow you up while you shut out the world for a few minutes.
