(Don’t) Do It Yourself

We’ve all tried our hand at a DIY job here and there, sure. Maybe we’ve tightened the plumbing under the sink or hung up a painting. Sometimes even these simple tasks go wrong. BUT for a very few unfortunate people, things can go really wrong. We’re talking absurd calamities, that range from the audacious to the creative to the painful. Here’s some of the worst DIY jobs.

Broken Electrical Pole

What’s scary is that this is some sort of county council work. Your local governing body should not be the people with the attitude of “ah sure a bit of tape and it’s grand.” Not really sure how this is still standing either. Got to admire it somehow.

Masking Taped Wing

Another “bit of tape and it’s grand” job. This time they mean business. It seems that everyone’s doing it, even over at aeroplane maintenance. Fairly scary you must agree.

Office in a Car

This one takes car salesman to new heights. Coming equipped with a laptop, flask, modem, and fairly sure there’s a fax machine in there too. As the old saying goes, “you can take the worker out of the office, but you can’t take the office out of their car.” Not as bad as absurd.

Toilet Stairs

“Why?” You may ask. There is no logic to it, it simply is. That is how the toilet king rules his dominion.

Crate Garage

Thought you didn’t have the means to set up your own garage? Think again. Just stack loads of crates on top of each other, balance the roof, and hey presto: you’re in business. Easy.

Candle Shower

It makes sense really. They wanted hot water to come out of the shower head. 2 + 2 = 4, right? Wrong. 2 + 2 does not equal 4. The truth is, we really don’t know the answer to that question.
