What is Hardwood decking?

Hardwood decking is made from imported timber from tropical hardwoods. Decking boards are usually smooth or ribbed/grooved just like softwood decking.

Hardwood decking is generally more durable than softwood and you will tend to get longer from a hardwood deck than a softwood deck. Hardwood decks will require maintenance where you would oil the hardwood with a good quality oil that would seep into the actual timber and would help preserve the wood against rot, and insects.
