What should I consider when choosing a floor?

When choosing a Wooden floor, the following considerations will help in your decision.

  • Functionality
  • Colour scheme
  • Lifespan
  • Durability

We offer a full range of wooden flooring that will cater to a childs bedroom, a hall, living room, or even a play room.

This is covered in the following areas.

We offer a full range of laminates catering for bedrooms, living areas and play rooms. Laminate wood flooring comes in 3 grades (ac3, ac4 and ac5) which should give usage of between 10 and 30 years. Laminates are famed for their durability as they give a general scratch free appearance against their real wood counterparts, with a range of colours catering to every taste. Unfortunately Laminates can generally not be resanded.

Engineered flooring is generally constructed by bonding a solid wood surface to a plywood core giving a stable, structurally strong, durable product.

We have a range of lacquered and brushed and lacquered and oiled engineered floors with 2 distinctive finishes incorporating semi-gloss and ultra matt tones. Our range varies from light maple to North American Black walnut (and everything in between). Our high lacquer finish gives a real new look warmth whereas our distressed brushed ultra matt ages beutifully. With solid timber surfaces ranging between 3 and 6mm, these floors can last for anything up to 60 years depending on sanding regime and aftercare

Solid wood flooring

A solid wood floor is constructed from a solid piece of timber from top to bottom. We are the main Junckers agents in Ireland and as such can offer  the highest quality floors in the country. As part of our offering we have wood bloc, 2 stave, and wide board designs enhancing every interior in a variety of shades and finishes catering for the most discerning of tastes.

Properly cared for, much like our Engineered range, our floors can enhance their surroundings for many years after installation.
